Indies to Catch in May 2026!
Sweet May is upon us, at last. The times passes swiftly – already first third of the year is behind us, and it feels I barely did anything at all! At least the summer vibes should start soon, which I very much need to function. Anyway, new month means new games to look forward to! April was robust in excellent titles to enjoy, and May is shaping up to be equally full of interesting games to dabble with. As always, there are way too many to list and give them proper justice. T

CREATURE KITCHEN
Creepy Cozy is a weird little tossup. It’s like… like a cold salad with pineapple and garlic. With cheese and raisins. It shouldn’t work, even on paper, and yet, somehow, this mix is to die for. Creepy Cozy is also a mix that is extremely hard to nail down and therefore also very easy to make shoddy. Way too many times I’ve seen variety of attempts to make something relaxing but spooky fall flat simply because all the creators could muster was an off-brand Burtonesque ‘cutesy

DEMO DIVE #2 - June 2026
Summer scorching heat and sun’s deadly lasers are in full swing. My poor AC is barely chugging along, trying its best to protect me from the worst of the deadly heat. It is hard to scrounge up energy for writing, not gonna lie. But I must! For there are plenty of great games coming, deluge of fantastic demos to nibble on, and I would feel bad not sharing my little finds here with anyone who might stumble here in search of new games to try. An eclectic mix of genres today - le

LIBRARIAN: TIDY UP THE ARCANE LIBRARY!
I am nearly 40 years old. This means a lot of things! First, my bones are aching, spine always complains and I need to watch what I eat hours before bed if I want to have a solid sleep session. And second, cleaning is not as big of a tiresome chore as it used to be! I mean, it still sucks, don’t get me wrong – but at the very least now, once completed, it feeds my brain that delicious cocktail of happy chemicals that make me feel accomplished in a day. Magic, really. And so,

FORBIDDEN SOLITAIRE
I finished FORBIDDEN SOLITAIRE and there is a crucial lesson here for me to impart, one that you probably already know, but I wish to reiterate upon anyway. Hype can be the death of joy. Getting your expectations through the roof risk a chance to tarnish an otherwise perfectly enjoyable experience! Now that it put these sentences to the digital paper, I can believe you might already have a feeling in which direction this review is going towards - I was slightly disappointed,

DEMO DIVE #1 - June 2026
It is said that hell roads are paved with bricks of good intentions. I was hoping May will be the month in which I am able to flex some proper writing, play lots of games and fill the blog to the brim with reviews and insights, but alas! Day to day work conspired to topple such lofty ambitions. Well, June is almost around the corner, and I am more than happy to try again with the coming month! As for now, I still managed to scrounge up some time trying out new demos for the c

DEMO DIVE #2 - May 2026
Sunday! It’s rainy, it’s cold, it’s the most frigid May I have lived through if my living memory serves. Well, that only means it is perfect weather for staying indoors with a giant cup of tea and games on my rig to play! Glory be to feasible excuses for entertainment purposes. And since it is a glorious Sunday, it means DEMO DIVE (as is tradition) – and I have a trio of particularly strong titles to share my initial impression of. Let’s roll! TOPDECK AUTOMAT From the creato
